Optimax Oil Lubricates a Boat Motor Well

domo online blog 3 6-16-14Last weekend, I celebrated Father’s Day with my family. As so often seems to come up in a family of people with boats, we started talking about boat maintenance, different types of oil, and what would work best for what type of boat. These topics are always difficult ones in my family because no one really agrees on any of it.

For example, my brother started using Optimax oil in his boat this year because one of his friends absolutely swears by it. My father sees the oil as unnecessary unless you have a really high powered boat. The rest of us tried to educate him on using the proper oil in your boat, regardless of performance level or horesepower.

Preparing an Old Boat with Mercury Oil

domo online blog 2 6-16-14One of my friends has a boat that has sat in his yard for the last several boating seasons without being taken out. Damage to one of the outboard motors and lack of funds to fix it left the boat beached while money was raised several times over. This year, my friend finally has repaired the boat and is getting it ready to take out to a lake to test how well the fix worked.

Getting the boat ready for the lake started with a good washing to get rid of the pollen that had become stuck to the boat over the last several years. After that, my friend put some Mercury oil in the boat to make sure he kept his newly repaired motor well lubricated. The final test will be taking the boat out on the water this weekend and running the motor.

Taking Some Evinrude Outboard Oil Along for the Ride

domo online blog 1 6-16-14My uncle thinks that his boat might have some sort of an oil leak. He can’t be sure because he hasn’t actually seen any oil leaking out into the water or onto the street and it would usually be easy to see leaking oil from a boat motor. All the same when he checked his oil reservoir, he discovered that the oil in his motor was low, which is odd since he just filled it.

Until he has time to get his boat looked at by a professional, my uncle plans to keep some Evinrude outboard oil on hand and check the reservoir regularly to see if there is a low amount of oil. Until then, he will only take the boat out on short trips and regularly check to see if there is oil leaking into the water. At the first sign of trouble, he will return to shore.

Yamalube Ringfree Plus Seems Like an Odd Father’s Day Gift

domo online blog 5 6-9-14I am going out on the boat with my father this weekend in celebration of Father’s Day. For the entirety of my life, I can recall my father on his boat just about every Father’s Day. I guess that it is kind of a tradition. When I was growing up, going out on the boat with my father was some of the only time that I spent alone with him.

For his Father’s Day gift, I am planning to give him some Yamalube ringfree plus. I know that he likes to use it in his boat motor on a regular basis to make sure that the motor is clean and free of debris whenever he runs it. It might sound like a strange Father’s Day gift to most people, but for my father it is really a gift that he is sure to appreciate and use.

Yamalube 2W in Bulk for a WaveRunner Rental

domo online blog 4 6-9-14One of my uncle’s friends runs a boat rental place down on the coast in California. During the winter, he stays focused on boat maintenance and relaxation. During this time of the year, he is already busy renting out boats each day and making sure to teach vacationers how to use them. One especially nice days, he sometimes even runs out of boats for people to rent.

He recently added a group of WaveRunners to his collection of boats to rent out. When he first got these boats he also invested in Yamalube 2W in bulk so that the boats would always have the oil that they needed to stay running. My uncle’s friend always takes great care of his boats because he wants them to last as long as possible so people can rent them for seasons to come.

Comparing Prices for Mercury Outboard Oil

domo online blog 3 6-9-14One of my friends recently decided to start looking into using brand name oil. For years, he has stayed with generic boat motor oil, because he thought that the price made it worth it. However, over the last several years, he has had to spend quite a large amount of money on outboard engine repairs, which he blames on the inferior oil that he has always used.

He still wants to find the lowest price possible for better oil, since at heart he is a very cheap person. He has recently been comparing the price of Mercury outboard oil online and in stores. He thinks that the best way to get a great deal on this oil might be to buy it in large quantities from the internet, since his local boat shop seems to be overcharging for the oil.

What to do When a Mercury Oil 55 Gallon Drum Becomes Empty

domo online blog 2 6-9-14For the past couple of years my father and his friends have used a large oil drum to supply themselves with all of the boat oil that they needed. After adding the oil to their boats for the summer season, they became aware that they were at last in possession of an empty 55 gallon drum. Initially, there was a lot of debate about what to do with the empty drum.

An empty Mercury oil 55 gallon drum was not nearly as useful as a full one, so all of the men immediately claimed that disposing of the drum was not their problem. My father looked up some resources online for how to dispose of oil drums, but all of it seemed fairly complicated. Eventually, my father and his friends decided that the best thing to do with the drum was to see if they could refill it

Evinrude Johnson 2 Stroke Outboard Oil is Part of My Summer Routine

domo online blog 1 6-9-14On most weekends during the summer, I take my boat out on the lake to enjoy the beautiful weather. Even when the weather is not so great, I will go out because I’ll usually have most of the lake to myself. My weekend routine focuses around prepping my boat for the day out on the lake and heading out onto the lake.

Before I go out each weekend, I make sure that I have the proper mix of Evinrude Johnson 2 stroke outboard oil running through my outboard engine. I try to get to the boat launch early, because then I can usually beat the crowd of families that will show up at the launch later on. Once I get my boat into the water and my truck parked, I am ready for a fun weekend excursion.

Trusting Yamaha Oil to Keep My Engine Lubricated

domo online blog 5 6-2-14When I first got a boat of my own, I was determined to do everything that I could to take care of it and keep it in good condition. I knew too many people who didn’t bother to take great care of their boats and then got into trouble with their engines dying out in the middle of a lake or a bay. I never wanted to have any problems of that sort, especially when they might be prevented.

I made sure to keep my boat running well by checking the outboard engine on a regular basis. I kept up with regular maintenance and made sure to change my oil every season by draining the old oil and adding the Yamaha oil that my boat would need. By following all of these safety precautions I have managed to keep my outboard running well over the course of many years.

Summer WaveRunners Require Yamaha 2W Oil

domo online blog 4 6-2-14Now that it is summertime many people are hitting the lake so that they can enjoy nice weather and cool water. One of the most fun things to do on warm summer days is take out a couple of WaveRunners and race around a lake or a bay. My cousins and I always enjoy the days that we spend out on the lake doing this.

We always make sure that we follow proper boat safety by wearing life jackets and watching out for other boats. We also take great care of our WaveRunners by using Yamaha 2W oil to make sure that all of their components continue working well. The last thing that we want is to have one of the WaveRunners break down while we are out in the middle of the lake.

Mixing Yamaha 2S Oil in the Early Morning

domo online blog 3 6-2-14For as long as I can remember, my father has always insisted on getting up for fishing trips before the sun is even up. I have a million bleary memories from my youth of early morning drives and visits to bait shops when the sun was just peaking over the horizon. I remember early morning boat launches and sitting on the boat as my father got ready on the dock.

He would always mix his Yamaha 2S oil with the gasoline in his boat only right before we got ready to leave.  It is odd that he used 2S, since that is for motorcycles and ATV’s.  Now that I have my own boat, I make sure that I use the proper oil, per manufacturer recommendations.

Ringfree Plus Makes an Engine Run Without Sludge and Build Up

domo online blog 2 6-2-14My uncle has been running his boat engine for several years now and has started to worry that the way that the engine is running could be affected by the build up from oil and gasoline in the system. He has started to become more concerned because one of his friends recently had to take apart his boat engine. He discovered a lot of nasty build up inside the motor.

In order to keep the boat running at its best he decided to try a oil additive that would help clean out the engine. He ran some ringfree plus through the motor to get rid of any carbon build up that might be inside of it. Now that he has been out on his boat a couple of times running with this additive he feels a lot better about his engine and isn’t as worried.
