Outboard Oil Specifically for My Boat

domo online blog 3 9-08-14When I first bought my boat, I knew that it was going to be very important for me to make sure that I knew a lot about its outboard motor. I made sure to read through the owner’s manual so that I could learn how to do some simple maintenance on my boat. I wanted to make sure that I could do any of the simple repairs and care for my motor so I wouldn’t ever have to take it to a shop.

In the manual, there was a lot of information about using the motor and making sure to put a specific type of outboard oil into it. When I first ran the outboard motor, I made sure that I was following all of the directions exactly. Eventually this became second nature to me. My boat has been running great with just the regular maintenance that it requires.

Mercury Optimax is Mercury 2 Stroke Oil Specifically Made to Run Cleaner

domo online blog 2 9-08-14When it comes to running a two stroke motor in the cleanest way possible, it takes a special kind of oil. Not every type of oil works in a way to keep carbon from building up on the parts of an outboard motor. The best type of oil for this job is oil that is synthetic and made by the same people who made your outboard motor. They know the needs of the motor best.

For Mercury Optimax motors, the right kind of oil is Optimax oil that is made for these motors. This is Mercury 2 stroke oil that is synthetic. It runs very cleanly and efficiently, minimizing carbon build up inside of an engine. Using this oil for the outboard motors that are Mercury Optimax motors will make it so that these motors run well for a long period of time.

Understanding the Different Types of Evinrude Oil

It is generally recommended that after buying an outboard motor you continue to keep it running in great shape with oil that actually comes from the same company that made the engine. This is because the manufacturers of your motor have the best idea about exactly what the outboard motor needs. Choosing something from the manufacturer isn’t enough though.

You have to make sure that you are also using the right oil for the outboard motor that you have specifically. For example, it isn’t enough to just buy any type of Evinrude oil. You need to know the difference between XD100, XD50, and XD30 oil. You can usually find information about what specific type of oil needs to be used by reading your owners manual.

Yamaha 2M Oil is Designed Great for My Uncle’s Outboard

domo online blog 5 9-02-14My uncle has a tiny fishing boat with a small outboard two stroke motor on it. Even though the boat and motor don’t seem like much to my family members with much larger boats, my uncle loves the little boat and makes sure to take the best care of it while he takes it around on the lake near his house. It is a cute little boat that can move decently through the water.

To help make sure that it is always taken care of, he always makes sure to have the Yamaha 2M oil that is designed perfectly for his Yamaha motor. The boat motor has been running for many years and will continue running for many more to come with the level of care he gives to this motor.

Calculating Yamalube 2W Oil Usage

domo online blog 4 9-02-14As the end of the boating season gets closer and a chill falls over the air that wasn’t there in the summer, I am preparing for a couple more trips out in the Waverunners for the fall. I have started sitting down to see how much oil I’ll need for the last couple of trips out on the boats this month. Since the boats are pretty small, I know I don’t want to take them out too late in the year.

I have determined that the supply of oil that I have right now will probably be enough to tide me over until next spring. I don’t like storing a lot of Yamalube 2W oil during the winter months, so I try to stop buying oil soon enough that there won’t be a lot of it cluttering my shed. This also makes it so I always have fresher oil when I buy a new supply to use in the spring next year.

Mercury Engine Oil to Give an Old Boat New Life

domo online blog 3 9-02-14Since it was a long weekend, I spent a good chunk of my time working an old boat that one of my friends bought and wants to have repaired by next summer. I told him that I would help him when he first purchased the boat, but I hadn’t been able to get time to help him until last weekend. Last weekend, our focus was mainly on cleaning everything up.

The first thing that we did was pressure wash the entire boat to get all of the grime that had built up on it over the last several years to come off. It took a long time to work all of the scum that had collected on it off of the boat. After that we emptied all of the gasoline and oil out of the boat. Eventually, we’ll replace the oil with Mercury engine oil when the boat is actually ready to go out on the water.

Providing the Best Outboard Motor Oil for Customers

domo online blog 2 9-02-14When my brother first started a shop that worked on boats, he thought that he would get customers coming in all of the time. He had his shop located right next to the lake so that just about anyone in the area who owned a boat would have to drive by the shop all of the time to get to the lake. It turns out that most people in that area worked on their own boat motors.

People did continuously come to him to see if he sold bulk oil for the boats. He ended up buying drums of the best outboard motor oil constantly and charging a slight mark up on the oil that he sold. Between this and fixing some of the motor problems that the fishermen couldn’t figure out themselves he managed to make his boat repair shop into a more successful business.

Proper Boat Ownership with Evinrude XD100 Oil

domo online blog 9-02-14Owning a boat is a huge responsibility and should not be one to be taken lightly. Boats need to be constantly cared for and given all of the maintenance they need. If they are not run often, the motors will start to degrade and slowly break down. This can be very bad news for you once you try to take them out into the water and discover that something is wrong.

Keeping your boat in good shape is a matter of always making sure to run the motor several times a season. Keeping fresh Evinrude XD100 oil or another type of oil in the boat will also help ensure that it is always running its best. If you want your boat to come through for you and work well for you all of the time, then you need to put in the effort to keep the boat in great condition always.

Finding Yamalube 2 Cycle Oil to Meet Engine Requirements

domo online blog 5 8-25-14When it comes to buying oil, my father is obsessed with doing a lot of research so he is certain that his engines can handle the type of oil that he uses with them. He has engines in his cars, boats, and ATVs that use entirely different types of oil. There are certain brands that he trusts more than others, just because he knows the brand and has used it for a long time.

He always uses the same oil for his car as the oil that was first recommended to him by the car dealership. When it comes to his boats and his ATVs, he is careful to use Yamalube 2 cycle oil that can meet the requirements of these different engines. He always takes great care of all of the engines that he has by making sure to get them oil that he trusts.

Time to Buy Mercury Optimax Oil After Upgrading to a Direct Fuel Injection Outboard

domo online blog 3 8-25-14My neighbor has always been the type of guy who finds something that works and sticks with it indefinitely. He has had a small fishing boat for far longer than I have known him. The boat has an outboard engine that is really a thing of the past. It is an old two stroke engine that pumps out a lot of filthy exhaust whenever he drives it around the lake by our homes.

Recently someone told him that he ought to switch to a direct fuel injection outboard motor so that there would be less exhaust. Initially he was very reluctant and wouldn’t hear of it. Then he did some research and found that with a new engine and some Mercury Optimax oil he might be able to get a lot more out of an outboard motor. He decided to make the switch.

Doing the Math When it Comes to Bulk Motor Oil

domo online blog 1 8-25-14When I first bought my boat, it was very important to me that I run the boat as cheaply and efficiently as possible. I was really excited about the possibility of buying oil for my boat in bulk rather than buying it a quart at a time from the marina. At the time, my friends all told me that it wasn’t worth it because I wasn’t out on the water enough to make it so I wouldn’t waste the oil.

Initially they were right about my oil use. I couldn’t use bulk motor oil fast enough to make it actually worth buying in large drums. More recently I have been able to go out on my boat a lot more often so that during the summer I am out almost every single weekend. This makes it so that it is actually worth buying the bulk oil because I’ll be able to use it all.
