Buying Some Fresh Yamalube 2 Cycle Oil

domo online blog 1 2-24-14When I saw my father this weekend, he was already in preparation for taking his boat out. He has to start so early because there are just so many things that are wrong with that boat. He hasn’t taken it out for several years because of these problems. This year, he is determined to get to take his boat out during the spring and summer.

So far, he has prepared by getting some Yamalube 2 cycle oil, cleaning out most of the motor, and putting all new fluids in it. Now that this has been finished, he is working on breaking in the steering for his boat and getting a couple of new parts to help repair it. He also had to buy a new trailer hitch, because his old one broke quite a while ago.

The Right Yamalube Oil

domo online blog 5 2-17-14Yamaha is a company that manufactures many different types of engines. They have various different products that you can purchase. Among these are motorcycles, snowmobiles, outboard motors, generators, and ATVs. That is a huge amount of different products. To go with these engines, they also sell many lines of oil to keep them running well.

Just because you have a Yamaha engine, it doesn’t mean that just any type of Yamalube oil will work. You have to be sure to get the right one for the type of engine that you have. For example 2W is a type of oil that is made just for personal watercraft. It shouldn’t be used in outboard motors. Without the right type of Yamalube, your engine could break down.

Summertime with Yamalube 2W

domo online blog 4 2-03-14At the beginning of every summer, my uncle likes to kick things off by taking his WaveRunners out to the lake. He makes the yearly maintenance for the boats into a sort of a party. He’ll start by washing them, so that they’re nice and clean. He even takes a toothbrush to some areas to get any built up scum off of the exterior of the boats.

Then he’ll get them filled with Yamalube 2W oil and some gasoline. He hooks the trailer up to his truck and drives them down to the launch. He takes both of the boats out and runs them around in a few start of summer victory circles. Only then are they ready to be ridden by other members of the family. When the WaveRunners are out, summer has officially begun.

Deals on Yamalube 2m Oil

domo-online blog 5 1-20-14I have always loved the saying, “a boat is a hole in the water into which you throw money.” My grandpa used to have a sign in his boat with this saying clearly printed onto it. My father always agreed with the saying. To him, it always seems like he is spending money on his boat. One day, he is buying new oil for it. The next, he has to get a new trailer hitch.

Lately, he has been looking online to see if he can get any really good deals on Yamalube 2m oil. So far, he has discovered that most of the best deals come from buying the oil in bulk. He’s not sure that he’s ready to commit to storing cases or gallons of oil in his garage, but he definitely has been looking into the idea of buying it with several of his friends.

Oil Change with Yamalube

domo online blog 4 1-13-14This weekend, I got my car’s oil changed. I have always found it extremely convenient that I can just drive up to a business that advertises oil changes and have them do the oil change for me. The price is always reasonable and they usually check to make sure that my car is still running well. They always let me know if there are any issues.

Luckily, I don’t have to mess with that on my dad’s boat.  It is a 2-cycle Yamaha, which just requires us to add Yamalube to the reservoir. This is much simpler than getting the oil changed on my car.

Comparing Yamalube 2m Oil and Yamalube 2w

domo online blog 5 1-13-14When it comes to different types of oil, the differences can seem so minor that you might choose to substitute one type of oil for a different one, simply for the convenience of a better price or what is readily available. When it comes to 2m and 2w oil, these are two completely different formulations and using the wrong one can cause damage to your engine.

You will find that Yamalube 2w oil is specially formulated for hi revving, small personal watercraft, while Yamalube 2m oil is a synthetic blend specifically designed for an outboard engine. The two oils are not interchangeable, as 2w is not a TC-W3 certified oil.

Rescued from Ring Sticking by Yamalube 2-M

domo-online blog 4 12-20-13On a boat and even in your car, using certain types of fuel or oil can cause the pistons in the engine to develop a gunky covering that can cause them to move more slowly or even stick so that they can’t move properly at all. You have likely seen pictures of this at gas stations that advertise their gasoline as having the ability to remove some of this gunk.

In a boat, these build ups can be prevented by choosing oil that protects your engine. Yamalube 2-M oil is specially formulated to protect against carbon build up and ring stick. Without oil like this, build ups in your engine can reduce the power that is produced by your engine and make it so that your boat does not run as efficiently as it otherwise could.

Searching Through the Yamalube 2 Cycle Oil

domo-online blog 2 12-23-13My dad’s shed has always been an organizational nightmare. Looking for something in there usually means moving piles of wood, loose nails, and tubs of unknown tools. Finding exactly what you are looking for is challenging, if not impossible at the best of times. Going there in the dark makes the entire adventure just that much more perilous.

One time, I had to go in there at night to find my father a particular tool. I should have known that there was no hope from the very beginning.  He had told me that it was in the crate with the Yamalube 2 cycle oil. Once I got to the shed there was no such oil to be found. I searched through everything with a flashlight with no luck at all.

Slipping on Yamalube Oil

domo-online blog 1 12-23-13I think that just about every racing game I have ever played has used oil slicks as an obstacle that you must overcome. It’s always frustrating when you are managing to do well and then hit an oil slick and slide off of the road. Despite the fact that this is in practically all racing games, I was pretty sure that I had never encountered it in real life. There aren’t usually puddles of oil on the road.

After thinking about it for a while, I have realized that there are actually multiple times that I have slipped on oil. For example, during the summer, when it has been dry for a long time and it starts to rain, the roads become slippery because of the oil that hasn’t run off. Also, in my grandpa’s garage where Yamalube oil was once spilled on the floor the concrete became slick.

Yamalube 2W for a Personal Watercraft

Domo-Online Pic 2 1292013Boats can be a bit of a hassle if you don’t have space for them at your home. There’s really no room for a boat at my house or on my driveway; I know that if I purchase a boat, I’ll have to rent out a storage facility for it and that’ll cost me money monthly that I don’t want to have to spend. I love the water, however, which is why I chose to purchase a personal watercraft.

Having a personal watercraft like a Waverunner is perfect for me, because I have enough room in my garage and I don’t have to worry about getting a truck that can handle pulling a boat around; I just need to be able to bring it around in a trailer. I always make sure to purchase oil that’s specific for my personal watercraft, so I keep a stock of Yamalube 2W on hand at all times.

Why I Use Yamalube Ringfree Plus

Domo-Online Pic 3 1292013Even when I was a kid, I wanted to have my own boat. As soon as I was able to afford a decent one, I bought my first boat and I haven’t looked back since. I can’t even imagine what my life would be like without a boat; I take it out as often as possible and I live somewhere that’s warm enough where that means I take it out on the water quite frequently.

Having a boat for so long has allowed me to learn quite a bit about its maintenance. I always make sure to use Yamalube products when it comes to my boat’s oil. I also choose to use a fuel additive called Yamalube Ringfree Plus alongside my oil, because it makes my boat run better and it will allow my boat to stay in good shape for a longer time.

Lost without Yamaha Outboard Oil

domo online blog 5 12-16-13My uncle’s boat always seemed to break down at the most inconvenient times. We would be out on an island in the middle of the San Juan Islands and suddenly it would sputter and die. In a car, breaking down can be annoying, but it is usually easy to call a tow truck and get help. This is not the case with a boat. When a boat breaks down, it can be dangerous.

Most of the time, my uncle didn’t have to worry, because my Grandpa’s boat was able to tow him. My grandpa also kept boating essentials, such as Yamaha outboard oil, on his boat, so that my uncle would have these items if he needed them. My uncle didn’t like to take his boat out by himself, because he felt as if he would be lost without my grandpa’s help.
