Outboard Oil For Doing Work On The Boat

outboard-001480x420I decided recently that I was going to spend a weekend working exclusively on mechanical stuff. I’ve been putting off working on my car for a while and it’s in desperate need of a tune-up. I always like to do those sorts of things myself, because I’ve got the expertise and I always feel like hiring a mechanic is a waste of money if I already know how to do it.

I went out earlier in the week to get all of the supplies that I would need to work on my car; I was missing a few essential tools and oil and things like that. While I was out and about, I also decided to pick up some outboard oil for my boat. Perhaps if I finish up work on my car earlier than expected, I’ll also be able to do a bit of work on my boat.

Hoarding Bulk Outbaord Motor Oil

Our mother had passed on years ago, and since then my father had hopped aboard the doomsday train, so to speak. In his later years, he had gotten really obsessed with the possibility of the world ending in December 2012.

Because of his obsession, he started hoarding. Almost enough to be on that reality show. He filled up his home with all kinds of stuff and even had a bunker installed for the supposed end of days. Of course, he didn’t foresee there being no end of days and us having to clean up after him. Sometimes we find useful things, however, like I found a bunch of bulk outboard motor oil stashed away in a corner.

Yamalube 2M For Mother’s Day

9632409-a-dirt-bike-rider-gets-air-during-a-stuntA lot of people learned to fish and do outdoorsy things from their fathers; my dad wasn’t around much when I was a kid, but my mom was just as outdoorsy and well-versed as any of my friends’ dads growing up. She’s the one who taught me how to fish and how to hunt and pretty much everything I ever needed to know about enjoying the great outdoors.

Although I’m grown now, my mom and I still go on camping trips together where we’ll go fishing and hunting. Sometimes we’ll even take my mom’s boat out and go out somewhere on a nice day for a fishing trip. Whenever Mother’s Day or her birthday comes around, I always know to get her something boat-related, like a bottle of Yamalube 2M.

Yamaha 2M Oil For Dad’s Birthday

2m oilIt was my dad’s birthday last weekend and my family got together and decided we would try to go to brunch somewhere the Sunday morning of his birthday. We didn’t realize how hard it was going to be to find a place that was open! Apparently, Sunday morning is the hottest time to go to a café, and some places had more than an hour wait, which was something we refused to deal with.

We wound up driving around from café to café for a while until we finally just decided to go to Denny’s, which was the only place big enough to house all of us without there being a wait longer than ten minutes. We had enough room for my dad to open presents; I got him a bottle of Yamaha 2M oil that he could use for his new boat.

A Budget Including Two Cycle Outboard Oil

budgetI can be a bit of a perfectionist and I like to know exactly how much money I’m going to be spending on something before I spend it. I always check out the pricing for maintenance costs and accessories whenever I decide to make a big purchase. It allows me to rest a lot easier when I actually go out and spend the money.

My next big purchase is probably going to be a boat.  I’ve been working out how much additional money I will need to spend when I purchase the boat, as that will determine the type of boat I end up purchasing. I have to remember that I’ll need maintenance and cleaning supplies like two cycle outboard oil and other accessories too.

Mercury Oil Fuels Great Pastimes

civicconcet 359One of my favorite foods is properly cooked salmon. Whenever I decide to cook up some salmon, I always try to make a new and interesting dish with it, because I really love cooking; I would say it is one of my favorite pastimes. Sometimes I’ll make a grilled salmon and spinach salad with peach dressing; other times I’ll prepare some salmon chowder with bacon.

My other favorite pastime is going fishing, so the two really go hand in hand, because I love to catch my own salmon. I get to be involved with the entire process; filling my boat up with Mercury oil, going out and fishing for some salmon, and then bringing it home and coming up with some new recipe that my wife and kids will enjoy as much as I do.

Won’t Run Out With Bulk Motor Oil

oil-changeI work in an independent mechanic’s workshop; we’re not associated with any of the major mechanic shops but we’re very well-rated and we know how to get the job done. I’m not an expert mechanic by any means, but some of the people that I work with definitely are. Whether it’s a car or a boat, they seem to know everything there is to know.

One of my duties at my job is to make sure that supplies are ordered and delivered regularly; the ones that you would need for any mechanic job. For instance, I’m regularly making orders of bulk motor oil, because we use a very large amount of it. It would be a big problem for our customers – and furthermore, for us – if we were to ever run out of it.

Mercury Lends His Name To Mercury Outboard Oil

mercuryThe Roman god Mercury was also known as Hermes to the Greeks and was known well for his speed, his winged shoes, and his work as a messenger to the other gods. He was the god of commerce, communication, luck, and trickery, and he was known as the guide of souls to the Underworld. In time, Mercury has had a large effect on popular culture.

Many things have been named after Mercury, the most obvious examples being the planet Mercury and the element of mercury, which is commonly used in thermometers to tell temperature. Mercury’s name has also been taken for companies such as a former car brand made by Ford or the company that produces Mercury outboard oil for boats.

What Is The Best Outboard Motor Oil?

outboard-engine-electric-torqeedoI’ve got a lot of experience when it comes to using different outboard motor oils with boats; I worked in a boat repair shop for quite a while and I’ve had my own boats for a number of decades at this point. Frequently, I get asked a question that, even with all of my experience, I’m not entirely sure how to accurately answer: what is the best outboard motor oil?

I’m not really sure what the best outboard motor oil is. I have experience with Yamaha and Mercury and Evinrude and I definitely believe that those three are among the top brands in the industry, but I’m not certain if I could say that one of those brands is particularly better than the other. It’s a really tough call, as certain brands are better for certain uses than others.

Keeping 2 Cycle Oil In Stock

271007_front200As a boat mechanic, I always have to make sure I’ve got the products that I need in my shop. If my employees don’t have the necessary tools and materials, they can’t do their jobs properly. We always keep an additional stock of our supplies in a storage unit so that we can easily get anything we need for any job.

One of the items I always keep is a large stock of 4 cycle and 2 cycle oil, fuel additives, tool sets, and spare parts for all different kinds of boats. We like to promise our customers that the work done on their boats will be speedy so that they can get out and enjoy the water as often as they can.

Mercury Premium Plus For An Expert Fisherman

snapperreefrunnerMy cousin is a big-time fisherman; he taught me pretty much everything that I know about fishing and it’s kind of what his life revolves around. It was no surprise to me when I heard that he was working on becoming a certified casting instructor, so that he could be on the road towards actually being a fisherman for a living like he had always wanted.

Once I heard he had actually received his certification, I decided that I wanted to get him a gift to celebrate something I knew he had always hoped to do. I figured that he’d be spending even more time on his boat now, so I decided I’d get him something that was boat-related. I wound up buying him some Mercury Premium Plus motor oil for the boat.

Won’t Be Stranded With Evinrude Outboard Oil

cat1I’ve been living with a bit of a strange conundrum. My biggest fear in the world is being stranded on open water, but one of my favorite pastimes is going fishing. Considering those two things go fairly hand in hand, I always try to make sure to take extra precautions any time I go fishing. Usually, I prefer to fish on a dock, somewhere safe, but things don’t always work out that way.

Obviously, the best fishing is fishing that can be done out on the open water, be it in a lake or an ocean, or what have you. I always make sure to use Evinrude outboard oil on my boat whenever necessary and I keep a lot of extra on hand, because I want to be completely certain that my boat never fails on me, so that I won’t be stranded.
