mediumWhen I was younger and living in Wisconsin, I used to go ice fishing fairly frequently with my father in the winters. Though it got me interested in fishing, I would often hear about some of my friends who would go to visit the Great Lakes and go fishing on their parents’ boats. We didn’t have a lot of money when I was growing up, so I was always a little jealous.

In my adulthood, I’ve got a high-paying job and more than enough money for a boat, so one of my favorite things to do is to take my dad on fishing trips, just like he did for me. However, instead of going ice fishing, we can load up my boat with Evinrude oil and take it out on a lake nearby so that our fishing experience can be even more exciting, and a lot less cold.

Learning About 2 Cycle Oil and Boat Maintenance

hot-tub-tug-boat-1As a youth, I spent a lot of time on boats with my father and with my friends. I developed a genuine love for boating as time went on and I always imagined myself being able to get my boating license and take a boat out on a lake myself. Eventually, as I grew older, I was able to accomplish this goal, though I realized I didn’t know as much about boats as I would have liked to.

After I got my boating license, I started looking into boats more and learning more about them. I figured out which boats needed 2 cycle oil and how to mix it in with the fuel. I learned about the different parts that were in a boat and how they needed to be maintained. I want to eventually know enough about boats that I can do mechanical work on my own boat.

Planning a Surprise Trip with Outboard Motor Oil

RinkerOne of my best friends is turning thirty this weekend and our group of friends has been planning out a surprise boating trip for him for a while now. We’re all really excited for it, although it’s been challenging keeping it a surprise so that he doesn’t find out what we have in store for him. He knows he’s doing something with us, he just doesn’t quite know what.

I picked up plenty of outboard motor oil when we first started planning everything so that I wouldn’t have to think about it at the last minute. I’m the one with the boat, but my other friends did the planning aspects in regards to where we’ll be staying for the weekend and what the best lakes for boating and fishing were in our area.

Waverunner Oil in the Summer

waveboatI’ve always been a big fan of interesting personal vehicles. I love to go off-roading in my ATV and I also very much enjoy snowmobiles when it’s wintertime. Recently, I decided that I would try out the water-based equivalent to these kinds of vehicles and I picked up my very first Waverunner, which I’ve truly been having a blast with this summer.

I loaded up on Waverunner oil and I started doing research to figure out the best places that I would be able to take my Waverunner in the area. I’ve found a lot of really cool lakes that I wasn’t fully aware of beforehand that are perfect for taking out the Waverunner and having a great time. I only wish that summer could last a little bit longer.

Learning More about Outboard Oil

934152_553950914648523_1680645070_nA friend of mine recently bought his first boat and he’s been telling me a lot of information about boating and boat maintenance because I’ve been considering buying one of my own. The more he tells me, however, the more it feels like I’m completely clueless when it comes to the intricacies of boating. There’s a lot of common boat knowledge I simply didn’t know.

For instance, I didn’t know that oil was processed differently in certain boats. I initially assumed it was like a car where you would take it in for oil changes, but in actuality, with my friend’s boat, you mix the outboard oil with the fuel when you are putting it into the boat. He’s told me a lot of things about fuel additives and other stuff that I had no idea about as well.

A Friend Recommended Optimax Oil

3742158_20111014110430_10_LARGEI’m the second among my group of friends to get a boat, so I luckily have one person to help guide me towards the things I’ve needed to consider regarding my boat. For instance, my friend had actually purchased one boat that hadn’t run very well at all and was able to steer me away from looking at that particular brand of boat.

Similarly, my friend has been able to give me some tips about oil and maintenance that I wouldn’t know without his guidance. He recommended that I stick to using one type of oil on my boat for the sake of consistency, and based on the kind of boat that I have, he recommended that I use Optimax oil in particular. It’s been very helpful having someone who knows what they’re talking about around.

Bulk Outboard Motor Oil to Stay Prepared

I always keep stocked up on supplies for whatever activity I might be interested in. Sometimes that means having a lot of extra camping or fishing supplies, while other times it means keeping maintenance materials for vehicles on hand.

One of the ways in which I am quite clearly overprepared is with my boat’s maintenance materials. I see this as a good thing, however, as I’ve been able to draw from my bulk outboard motor oil supply for so long that I haven’t had to make any runs to the store or do any shopping online to get more motor oil ever since I got my boat.

Mercury Outboard Oil for Birthday Boating

CW-330-Doctors-Gone-WildWork has been really stressful lately so I decided to plan ahead and take some time off around my birthday. I thought that it would be really nice to go on a fishing and boating trip with my friends somewhere far away from work and home, because that would be the perfect way for me to finally get some much-needed relaxation time in.

Luckily, fueling up my boat isn’t particularly stressful and I already had all the Mercury outboard oil that I would need for the trip. I was glad I had thought ahead on that, because with all the extra tasks I’d been doing at work to be able to go on vacation, I didn’t really have time to go out and do a whole bunch of maintenance on my boat as well.

Bulk Motor Oil for a New Boating Shop

NcausewayOne of my goals in life has always been to start up my own business. In particular, I loved the idea of creating a retail store that catered to a certain group of people that I’d be able to build up a rapport with. Having a great store with regular customers has always been a dream of mine and it’s why I wound up getting a Business degree when I was in college.

The niche that I wound up landing on was a boating store, because boating has also been a passion of mine and has been one of my hobbies for as long as I can remember. I love the idea of sharing my boating knowledge with customers. I’ve been loading up on supplies for my store, including bulk motor oil and some fishing gear.

Mercury Premium Plus Gets Used in New Boat

lifestyle_inset_9My dad’s the kind of guy who will make a big purchase, get all the accoutrements for it, use it a lot for a while, and then kind of forget that he has it for a long time. Once, he went all out and got everything that you would need to brew your own beer, then he used it once and made a few bottles, and it’s been collecting dust in the garage ever since then.

His most recent purchase has been a boat. Of course he, purchased everything he would need for it, including a huge supply of Mercury Premium Plus motor oil. This time, however, it seems like he might have made a purchase that will actually last. He’s been using his boat way more often than anything else he’s ever bought, so maybe he’s finally figured out what he loves.

Learning About Boats and Yamalube 2-M

The only thing that I really knew is that I wanted a boat and I would figure out the rest as time went on. I’m a fast learner when it comes to things like that, though I underestimated exactly how much knowledge I would need to know about having a boat.

Obviously, I had to learn how to properly drive it, as well as learn how to set up my car so that I could tow it to where I wanted to take it. Driving with a boat attached to your car has a learning curve of its own. In addition to learning about transportation itself, I also made sure to learn about the maintenance of the boat, and learned to start using Yamalube 2-M in it.
