New Speed Boat, New Mercury Optimax Oil

domo online blog 4 2-10-14My uncle just got a brand new speed boat. He bought it from the Seattle Boat Show a few weeks ago. It is a boat that has a whole lot more power than his last boat. Best of all, this boat actually seems to run great, rather than breaking down all the time like his last boat. He got it ready to take out and run for the very first time last weekend.

He had to get it Mercury optimax oil, because this is the type of oil that his boat motor has to use. He can’t use any of the old oil that he has left over from his old boat, because none of it is the right kind of oil for the boats motor.

Heading to Canada with Mercury Outboard Oil

domo online blog 2 2-03-14My grandparents have always lived in Washington State. Several years ago, they decided that they were going to take their boat up to Canada for a bit. It isn’t a terribly long trip, but it’s a lot rougher water than their boat is usually accustomed to. They have an outboard motor as a backup engine in case their actual engine dies at any point.

For the trip to Canada, they brought along a lot of extra boat maintenance gear. They had several bottles of Mercury outboard oil, just in case they needed it during the journey. They also brought their usual supply of food plus some extra in case they got lost or stuck out somewhere. They managed to travel to Canada and back without too many problems.

Minimize Carbon Deposits with Mercury 2 Cycle Oil

domo online blog 3 1-27-14Carbon deposits are one of the biggest problems for outboard motors. They can cause damage to the engine and cause ring stick or problems with the pistons moving. This makes your engine less efficient in the short term and puts it in danger of breakdown in the long term. Fortunately, carbon can be cleaned out once it is there.

You can use additives to the fuel to dissolve the carbon deposits inside of the engine. Once your engine is clean, you may want to switch to a different type of oil. Some oils leave less carbon deposits than others. For example, Mercury 2 cycle oil is specially formulated to minimize carbon deposits, while providing the lubrication that your motor needs.

Protecting a Motor with Mercury Premium Plus

domo-online blog 2 1-20-14My uncle’s boat was always more trouble than it was worth. It was always having surprise issues at just the wrong moment. My uncle called it the Knot Worthy, which I suppose was probably a bad omen. Usually, help wasn’t too far away when something went wrong, so my uncle didn’t end up lost at sea or rather adrift in the bay somewhere.

It wasn’t that my uncle didn’t take care of the boat. He always made sure to do the required maintenance on the engine. He used Mercury premium plus oil each time. Still, strange things beyond his control happened to make the engine break. My uncle was glad when he managed to sell the boat. Now, someone else would have to deal with its issues.

High Power with Mercury Premium Plus

mercury premium plusOne day, my husband and I were considering getting a new boat. Our extended family shares a lake house up in Ontario, and we wanted a better boat to explore the area. The lake was actually connected to several lakes through passes and streams, which made it an incredible area to take day long boat trips through, and even check out some small islands.
My cousins had gotten the last few boats, so we figured it was our turn to pick one out. My husband decided we needed the ‘Mercedes Benz’ of boats. I had no idea what that meant other than high priced but I let him go ahead. It was a bit of a cost upfront, but buying the mercury premium plus oil that was recommended wasn’t a huge expense by any means, especially since we bought it in bulk.

Protecting a Warranty with Mercury 2 Stroke Oil

domo online blog 4 1-06-14When you buy a new boat motor, you probably want to keep it running as long as possible since motors are not exactly cheap. For my father, purchasing his mercury engine was a huge investment. He had been using an engine that his father had used on his old boat, but since this motor was old, it didn’t last very long.

When he made the switch to his new motor, he liked it a lot better because it ran smoother. To keep it running smoothly, he maintained it regularly. This was part of keeping the warranty valid. He also got rid of the cheap off brand oil that he’d used for the old motor and started using Mercury 2 stroke oil.

Why There’s a Mercury Oil 55 Gallon Drum in My Garage

Domo-Online Pic 4For my entire life, I’ve always hated shopping. Some of my earliest memories are my mom dragging me along to stores with her and attempting to find ways to entertain myself amidst the boredom of shopping. I thought things might be easier with online shopping, but I hate how long it often takes for me to find and select the products that I need.

This attitude of mine towards shopping is one of the primary reasons that I prefer to purchase items in bulk all at once. For instance, when I was thinking last about boat maintenance, I stocked up on everything that I could possibly need so I wouldn’t have to shop for things multiple times. I’ve got a Mercury oil 55 gallon drum sitting in my garage now alongside other boating surplus items.

Mercury Optimax Oil as the Perfect Christmas Gift

Domo-Online Pic 3Even though it’s winter and it’s been too cold for my dad to take his boat out because all of the lakes he frequents have frozen over, that doesn’t mean that boating hasn’t been on his mind. Even now, with boating weather being months away, he’s still constantly talking about where he wants to go for his next boating trip and what kind of fish he wants to try to catch.

When I was brainstorming ideas for what I should get my father for Christmas, the answer was extremely obvious to me. All I needed to do was find the proper items that he uses for his boat. I decided that I would get him a brand new fishfinder device, as well as some bottles of Mercury Optimax oil, to get him even more excited for his next fishing trip.

Shopping for Mercury Oil

domo online blog 4 12-16-13My family loves to go boating. Just about everyone in the family owns a boat. Every summer, we would get together and go out to one of the islands with our boats. For some reason, we almost always took hours to leave the marina. My grandpa was obsessed with keeping his boat perfectly maintained, so often he would have some last minute project to complete.

I remember one time, he sent my mother and I to get Mercury oil from the shop near the marina. Of course, he did not think to tell us what kind to get. We were left staring at various different types of oil, oblivious to whether he needed premium oil or some other type. Eventually, we were delayed even longer by having to ask him.

High Horsepower with Mercury 2 Cycle Oil

boat2When we made the decision to switch to a higher powered engine for our boat, I wasn’t expecting how complicated it would turn out to be. There is a much different way to take care of an engine that has more power than that of a lower quality alternatives. After years of owning pretty standard engineers, I was at a bit of a loss when it came to a DFI engine.

I decided to talk to my friend who is a mechanic. He told me I was completely over thinking it. At the end of the day, the most important thing was to find the right mercury 2 cycle oil that would help the engine last longer. Anything else was just about the same as any other engine I had owned throughout the years.

Mercury Outboard Oil Reminds Me of Summer

Domo-Online Pic 4 1292013I can’t tell you how much I loathe winter. I’m a person who used to live in Florida, so spending time in Washington and dealing with genuinely cold winters has been pretty unpleasant for me. Not only do I hate the cold, but I really don’t like how many of my favorite activities have to be put on hold while I wait for the weather to warm up again.

In particular, the activity that I miss the most is being able to take my boat out on the water. There are a lot of really nice lakes out here, but I can’t do anything about it until summer rolls back around. I’m always ready for summer, however. I keep plenty of Mercury outboard oil stored in my garage while I wait for this wretched season to be over with.
