Comparing Yamalube 2m Oil and Yamalube 2w
When it comes to different types of oil, the differences can seem so minor that you might choose to substitute one type of oil for a different one, simply for the convenience of a better price or what is readily available. When it comes to 2m and 2w oil, these are two completely different formulations and using the wrong one can cause damage to your engine.
You will find that Yamalube 2w oil is specially formulated for hi revving, small personal watercraft, while Yamalube 2m oil is a synthetic blend specifically designed for an outboard engine. The two oils are not interchangeable, as 2w is not a TC-W3 certified oil.
